Waveform Editing Function and Application of PWR Series High Performance Programmable AC Power Supply

1. Waveform editing function

The biggest feature of the programmable power supply is that it has the waveform editing function, which can be edited and set to customize the output waveform through the host computer or the operation panel of the fuselage. The waveform editing functions of the PWR series high-performance programmable AC power supply are very powerful and rich, mainly including waveform library calling, circuit simulation, step function (Step), sequence function (List), voltage output that conforms to IEC standards, and waveform import and restore output. At the same time, the host computer software PWR-Controller is standard, which is convenient for editing waveforms and operating and controlling the programmable AC power supply through the host computer.

2. Waveform library call

First of all, the commonly used function is to call the waveform library. The waveform library can store up to 30 sets of waveforms. Each waveform is assigned an ID to facilitate the identification of waveforms. Among them, waveforms 1-10 are system preset waveforms, which support direct calling and editing output; 11-30 are used for storage Customize the waveform, support direct recall and output after storage.

3. Step function (Step)

Step function (Step) can simulate power failure, voltage drop (dip), voltage rise (pop), etc. The main features of the step function (Step) output are that the setting is simple, and the waveform of the output voltage and frequency changes regularly. In actual use, only the initial voltage and frequency, step voltage amplitude, step frequency, etc. can be set to achieve the target waveform output. The typical application of step function (Step) is to test the working voltage and frequency range of Electronic products.

Fourth, the circuit simulation function

The circuit simulation function can simulate sudden changes in voltage (such as sag/surge, etc.), and its characteristic is that only a part of the output waveform suddenly changes. A typical application test of the linear simulation function verifies the immunity of electronic products to sudden changes in the power supply grid.

5. Sequence function (List)

The sequence function (List) is very powerful, it can easily simulate many complex output waveforms, set combinations of output voltage, frequency, time, etc., and call them in sequence, just like stacking Tetris, which can make various types of waveforms according to the preset. Set the sequence output. PWR-Controller software supports excel table editing, import and export. Sequence function (List) is typically used to simulate specific output waveforms to verify electronic product performance and functionality.

6. Voltage output in line with IEC standards

In the actual power supply environment, the power supply voltage will sag or even be interrupted for a short time due to the failure of the power grid and power facilities or sudden large changes in the load. These factors will affect the operation of equipment using AC power supply. This requires that the AC power supply can test the equipment according to the relevant standards in IEC61000-4, so as to ensure that the equipment can still operate normally or recover under abnormal power supply conditions.
